Welcome to Shortsey! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Shortsey mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms, which form a binding legal agreement between you and Shortsey VOF, dba Shortsey ("we," "us," or "Shortsey").
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Shortsey, you confirm that you understand and accept these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. You may not use the Service if you are prohibited by local laws or if you are not of legal age to enter into a binding agreement, unless you have obtained the consent of a parent or guardian where required by law.
These Terms do not govern or relate to any NL insurance policies distributed or administered through Shortsey. Those agreements remain separate and unaffected.
2. New Features and Modifications
We may update or remove features at any time. Any new or updated Terms related to these features become effective upon your use of the feature.
3. Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Shortsey in accordance with these Terms. You may not:
- Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any part of the Service or its content.
- Use bots, scrapers, or similar tools to access the Service.
- Modify, decompile, or create derivative works.
- Use the Service for any unauthorized or unlawful purpose.
4. Push Notifications and Location Access
Shortsey may send you push notifications with your permission. You can disable them in your device settings. Location access is used to provide accurate weather information. If disabled, the app defaults to weather data for Amsterdam, Netherlands.
5. Analytics and Advertising
We collect anonymous usage data to improve the Service. If you engage with Shortsey Deals, anonymized usage data (e.g., views or taps) may be shared with advertising partners.
6. Copyright and Intellectual Property
If you believe that any content on Shortsey infringes your copyright, please notify us at [email protected]. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Illegal or abusive use of the Service
- Activities that put us at legal risk
- Service discontinuation
Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms will cease immediately.
8. Warranties and Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee availability, reliability, or accuracy. You use the Service at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or reputational damage. Your sole remedy is to stop using the Service.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Shortsey harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your breach of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of third-party rights.

We are committed to protecting your data. Please review our Privacy Policy for more details on how we collect and process personal information.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be resolved by the Court of Overijssel.
13. Miscellaneous
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. We may update these Terms at any time by posting changes on our website. Continued use of the Service indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
